Wrecktangle Pizza is reviving its Wrap pop-up this spring at a different North Loop food hall.
Wrap will serve fresh juice, light fare, and “craveable” handheld foods at Graze Provisions + Libations, according to a Friday announcement.
The previous iteration of Wrap focused on handmade tortillas stuffed with meats, cheeses, veggies, and sauces. Wraps were named after the owners’ close friends and family members and inspired by their favorite foods.
Wrap’s version of a breakfast burrito, called the Alex, featured an omelet, cheddar jack, bacon, bacon jam, potato smiles, and chives inside a turmeric flour tortilla.
“We are thrilled to bring Wrap back a few blocks away from where it started,” co-owners Jeff Rogers and Breanna Evans said in a statement.
Wrap debuted in March 2021 next to Wrecktangle’s stall in the North Loop Galley, where the Detroit-style pizzeria launched in 2019. The pop-up operated there during the week for a few months, until a permanent tenant moved into the open stall.
That’s around the time when Wrecktangle started to expand, first with another food hall outpost at the Market at Malcolm Yards and then with its first brick-and-mortar restaurant at LynLake.
More recently, Wrecktangle partnered with First Avenue on Wrestaurant at the Palace, which opened in downtown St. Paul at the end of August.
Wrecktangle’s breakfast pizza won it the title of best pizza in the U.S. on ABC’s “Good Morning America” 2023 United States of Pizza contest.
Wrap will be open daily at Graze, located 520 N. Fourth St., where it will offer quick options to go, for dine-in, or for delivery. Graze is open Monday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
