With a few more months of nice weather still left, NOLO’s Kitchen just relaunched its Rooftop Bar with several noticeable changes.
Since we last saw it more than a year ago, the space has been expanded with more cabanas, all new furniture, mounted TVs and food service.
“This year we’re going to have servers,” said co-owner Marty Collins, “so during the week it’s going to be more like a NOLO’s extension. We’ll have a full NOLO’s menu Sunday through Thursday, opening at 4 p.m. And then Friday and Saturday nights, we’re gonna have a limited menu.”
Brunch will be served on the rooftop Saturdays and Sundays starting at 11 a.m.
They’ve also added two unisex restrooms to the rooftop, meaning no more urgent waits for an elevator when nature calls.
The Rooftop Bar made its debut during the pandemic when customers were still uneasy about indoor spaces. While the open-air setting on the rooftop was a temporary solution, it proved to be so popular, the owners set out to make it permanent.
“The whole concept is, everyone loves being outside in Minnesota for the five-and-a-half months that we can,” said Collins, “so let’s try and take advantage of it.”
Rooftop Bar opens at 4 p.m. Monday-Friday and 11 a.m. for brunch service Saturday and Sunday.
