Hark! Cafe is closing its storefront in downtown Minneapolis, but the business won’t stop making vegan, gluten-free baked goods.
Hark! Cafe will be open through Sunday at 430 N. First Ave. in the Kickernick Building, then it will transition to a commercial kitchen-based catering and wholesale operation henceforth known as Hark! Bakery, according to an Instagram post.
“Come in and visit us next week so we can wish you all a fond farewell,” co-owners Lisa Neumann and Katherine Pardue said in the post. “An emphatic THANK YOU for all the love and support we’ve received over the past 3+ years.”
Hark! Cafe opened at the beginning of 2021, and it was one of the first Twin Cities restaurants to require proof of vaccination later that year, the Star Tribune reported. The daytime cafe stopped serving full breakfast, lunch, and brunch menus in early 2023, according to its website.
Hark! Cafe is open Tuesday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
