Finnegans Brew Co. just started serving a new menu of bar food ranging from $5 for onion rings to $15 for burger, brat or wings.

On the menu (see below) are four small bites for $5-$7, three shareables for $10-$15, and four handheld entrées, all of which are $15 and come with fries. Many of them even incorporate Finnegans beer.

“This menu is tailored for customers with varying appetites and budgets, which we think is important,” said owner Jacquie Berglund, who founded Finnegans in 2000 and opened the production brewery and taproom in 2018.

Items on the menu are consumed in the brewery's taproom but they're cooked next door at Tavola Italian Kitchen + Bar, located within the Elliot Park Hotel, which is connected to Finnegans.

Broadway Pizza at Dan Kelly's Pub will deliver pizza and other items to Finnegans as well, and food from all other restaurants is welcome in the taproom, too.

Finnegans also recently shared its lineup of festivities for St. Patrick’s Day weekend from March 15-17. The brewery’s hours will be extended to 11 a.m. until midnight on Friday and Saturday, and 11:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Sunday, which is actually St. Patrick’s Day.

Throughout the weekend, there will be live tunes from Celtic bands Blame Not the Bard, Brian Boru Irish Pipe Band, Irish Diplomacy, Purgatory Creek, and We Lucky Few. There will also be performances by Irish dancers from Mactír Academy of Irish Dance, Rince na Chroi, Shamrock School of Irish Step Dance, and Wild Rose Cloggers.

Last month, Finnegans hosted the inaugural Twin Cities NA Day: Sip Smart, Spark Change event, in honor of Dry January. One of the featured producers was Hairless Dog, a Minneapolis-based maker of non-alcoholic craft beer, which Finnegans acquired in 2022.

Finnegans "turns beer into food" by donating profits to hunger-fighting charities. The nonprofit Finnegans Community Fund has raised more than $2 million to date. Finnegans also supports socially-conscious startups through its Finnovation Lab, an incubator above the taproom.

Finnegans is located at 817 Fifth Ave. S in the Elliot Park neighborhood. It’s open from 4-9 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and 2-9 p.m. Saturday.

Finnegans hosts trivia every Wednesday and bingo every other Thursday. The brewery offers half-off growlers on Thursdays.
