The sixth annual Downtown Minneapolis Street Art Festival returns to Nicollet Mall next month, with 27 chalk and spray paint artists from around the country and world.
The free, family-friendly event takes place Aug. 10-11 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Nicollet Mall between Sixth and 11th streets.
Eight spray paint artists and 19 chalk artists will do live art throughout the weekend. You can find a full list of participating artists here.
This year’s street art festival also features an indie artisan fair, food trucks, performances, activities, and a community mandala.
The artisan fair curated by Jackalope Arts features more than 100 local vendors selling jewelry, clothing, artwork, decor, and other items. You can find a full list of participating artisans here.
Heart & Soul Drum Academy, zAmya Theater, and Hip-Hop 4 The Soul will perform in the Saturday afternoon concert series on Aug. 10. Other street performances will take place Sunday.
